ACE Adventure Resort

ACE_thumbACE is West Virginia's largest outdoor outfitter, with a 1,500 acre basecamp resort, offering whitewater rafting tours, ATV and horseback rides, rock climbing, mountain biking and other activities.

  • Problem: ACE Adventure Resort lacked a comprehensive Internet marketing strategy, including a guide for production and distribution of web content and applications.
  • Hypothesis: ACE would benefit most from a redesigned and thoroughly search engine-optimized website, a library of high-definition videos showcasing tours and facilities, as well as content production including a blog, web press releases and email newsletters, exploiting platforms such as Facebook and YouTube. ACE’s investment in planning, Website redesign, video content, email marketing templates, and search engine optimization will position the Adventure Resort to grow in 2009.
  • Execution: WELD developed and manages www.aceraft.com and all supporting web content including landing pages, video content, press releases, email campaigns, the ACE blog and ongoing search engine optimization.
  • Result: Nine days after launching the new website, we saw a 4-fold increase in number of pages viewed per visit and time on site. Three months later, visitation increased by 400% with number of pages per visit and average time on site steadily increasing. Most importantly, ACE's management team saw an increase in reservations early in the 2009 season and continue to see more website visitors convert to paying guests.
